Looking for a PS3 or XBOX 360 Capture Card? Well there are really not that many to choose from. I mean, Not that many “good ones” to choose from. I’ve tried a few, and can only recommend three of them. The absolute best is the Roxio Game Capture, take a look below at a recording I made using the Roxio card.
* I recorded the above video using Roxio Game Capture. TIP: Remember to change the settings to 720p so that you can view the video in HD
Take a look at the comparison chart below to see some of the differences in the 3 Capture Cards.
Now I know it’s a recession, so if you’re on a budget, then go for the Dazzle, but don’t expect much quality in the Dazzle. It does the job, but it’s low end, and you know the saying, “You get what you pay for”. It’s definitely not HD, as some claim it is. It uses rca cables (which are not HD), but some people are perfectly fine recording SD videos.
If you want a HD quality PS3 or xbox 360 capture card, then I recommend the Roxio Game Capture. This card is sick. See the above video that I recorded with it. It was my first video that I recorded as soon as I opened the packaging. lol. It came out pretty good right out the box without messing with any settings. For those of you that demand the best, than you may want to check out the Hauppauge card. It records at 720p AND 1080i. But it is at a great cost: The Hauppauge card costs $100 more than the Roxio card. That’s why I still recommend the Roxio card instead. I don’t feel it’s worth an extra $100 for 1080i. Afterall Roxio still records in true HD (720p). Most games are 720p also. But that’s just my opinion.
